Founding:

Mamani Clinic was established on 02nd February 1978, Thursday.
This clinic is the dream-child of only one person and that was Dr. Smt. Namita Chatterjee. Destiny directed her to move with her family out of Midnapore, that was then the largest district of India that produced largest number of freedom fighters and the district town that has the second oldest surviving Homoeopathic Medical College and Hospital of Asia, out of Kharagpur town that adores the first Indian Institute of Technology and to reach the warm vibrant yet calm township of Abohar at the southern part of Punjab.
Here, at Abohar, Dr. Narayan Chandra Chatterjee and Dr. Smt. Namita Chatterjee joined Abohar Homoeopathic Medical College as lecturers on 01.08.1977.
It was a chance communication of Dr. Smt. Chatterjee with Late Bhupinder Rai Ahuja (God bless his departed soul) who belonged to the very well-established Ahuja family, when the latter offered the former one of his shopping spaces on South Circular Road, opposite office of Municipal Committee, to set up a homoeopathic clinic.
Thus, Dr. Chatterjees became the first institute qualified homoeopatic practitioners at and around Abohar.

Naming the Clinic:

"Mamani Clinic"

The day before opening, Dr. Smt. Chatterjee came to visit the site along with her colleague and friend Dr. Mrs. Mishra. In a lighter mood Dr. Mrs. Mishra wanted to know if the clinic be named after someone or something special. After a little exchange, Dr. Mrs. Mishra suggested that the name be by the name of our only daughter Mamani.
And the clinic was named as MAMANI CLINIC.
